Over 40 Years of Innovation and Craftsmanship

Since 1976, NIMOS has been developing smart solutions for cleaning and green maintenance.
What began as a modest collaboration with Wageningen Agricultural University has grown into a leading manufacturer of professional outdoor equipment. The first machines – a vineyard tractor, onion burner and gherkin harvester – laid the foundation for what is now a highly versatile product range.

From the very beginning, innovation has been central to everything we do. Each machine starts with a real-world challenge, grows into a prototype, and becomes a practical, durable tool. For more than four decades, we’ve been making outdoor work easier, smarter and cleaner.

A Journey Through Time: Key Milestones in NIMOS History

1976 – The adventure begins.
NIMOS is founded and, in collaboration with Wageningen Agricultural University, develops its first machines: a vineyard tractor, onion burner and gherkin harvester. Practical and forward-thinking – just as NIMOS still is today.

1987 – Entering the park and landscaping market.
NIMOS begins serial production and launches its first tipper line – the start of a successful range of transport solutions.

1987 – The first weed brush machine.
In response to growing demand for non-chemical weed control, NIMOS develops its first Porter in partnership with Vaarkamp B.V. (Ede). The robust machine quickly becomes a trusted name in the field.

1988 – Articulated power at your fingertips.
The Cotrac 145 – NIMOS’ first articulated tool carrier – is introduced. Agile, powerful, and highly versatile.

1991 – Compact and efficient.
NIMOS presents its first walk-behind weed brush machine. At the same time, a range of attachable brush arms is launched to offer more flexibility in weed removal.

1992 – A transporter made for cemeteries.
NIMOS introduces a compact transporter, specially designed for sensitive environments like cemeteries. Narrow, manoeuvrable and with low ground pressure – ideal for transporting sand, plant material or grave fill without damage.

1993 – The birth of the DM-Trac.
A true milestone: the first DM-Trac is launched – the predecessor of today’s Posi-Trac series.

1998 – Multiple innovations.
NIMOS introduces the Porter-II: an upgraded version of the original weed brush machine. A new generation of DM-Trac carriers is also unveiled.

2004 – More compact, more user-friendly.
A more compact DM-Trac line is introduced, along with the OKB-70 and OKB-110: modern successors to the Porter with increased ease of use and performance..

2007 – A new generation of transporters.
The transporter line is fully revamped, offering improved ergonomics, modern design and greater comfort for daily use in delicate environments.

2007 – More reliable with Yanmar.
The DM-Trac series transitions from Lombardini to Yanmar engines, resulting in quieter, more powerful, and more reliable operation.

2009 – Emission-free transport for sensitive locations.
NIMOS develops its first electric transporter – purpose-built for quiet and clean operation in cemeteries and urban settings.

2011 – The next generation of brush machines.
NIMOS introduces the MUG-II and the MUG-H: two compact, walk-behind weed brush machines. The MUG-II features mechanical drive for robust day-to-day use, while the MUG-H offers hydraulic brush drive for added flexibility in more demanding conditions.

2015 – More grip, less effort.
NIMOS introduces the MUG-HA – the first MUG with wheel drive, offering improved traction and operator comfort.

2016 – A glimpse of the electric future.
NIMOS presents the concept for a fully electric tool carrier. The roadmap to zero-emission work is now clear.

2019 – Diesel out, electric in.
NIMOS discontinues diesel engine production. The fully electric Posi-Trac K-214 enters serial production: strong, quiet, and emission-free.

2021 – The F-214 expands the line-up.
The Posi-Trac F-214 is launched: even more compact and agile, perfect for use in tight, sensitive or urban areas.

2021 – Electric transporter upgrade.
The electric transporter receives a major technical update: a new cabin, increased payload, and a modern lithium battery pack make it ready for heavier work – while maintaining its quiet, precise character.

2022 – Compact and capable.
The MUG series is extended with the MUG-C: a compact powerhouse for narrow pathways, tricky corners, and sensitive surfaces.

2024 – The K-314 with extended chassis.
NIMOS introduces the Posi-Trac K-314: an extended-chassis variant of the electric tool carrier. Designed to accommodate systems like a hot water weed control unit, the K-314 offers more configuration space for multifunctional, emission-free work.

Ready for the Future – Grounded in Experience

What hasn’t changed over the years? Our commitment to quality, innovation and real-world performance.
NIMOS builds machines that do exactly what they’re made for – every day, in every season. Whether it’s sustainable weed control, smart cleaning solutions or electric transport: we keep moving forward, with care for people, machines and the environment.
